Group Structure
The group is a cross-disciplinary group consisting of Local Authority arts, regeneration and planning officers, as well as arts organisations and other independent creatives working in Pennine Lancashire.
Group Aims
The group will gather current research, and commission new research, to steer an ongoing programme of arts and regeneration work in Pennine Lancashire. It will invite group members and guest speakers to present at future meetings, offering a forum for discussion, and sharing ideas and information.
The group aims to support and develop opportunities for communities and artists to influence regeneration programmes through advocacy and training. It will comment on local regeneration plans and artist proposals, and influence policy and strategy at a Pennine Lancashire level.
The group will advocate for and promote best practice in art and regeneration activities in Pennine Lancashire. Aspirations include the development of joint commissioning guidelines for artists, and the co-ordination of opportunities for future joint working and funding bids.
